Our history with these two goes back well before their wedding day. After photographing Mallory’s brother’s wedding, we had the opportunity to work with Mallory and Joe during a styled shoot in New York City, where they stepped in front of our cameras as models. So when it came time to document their own wedding, it felt like a full-circle moment for our team.
Originally from New York City, Mallory and Joe chose Charleston, South Carolina, for their destination wedding, bringing their closest family and friends together for an intimate celebration filled with romance, beautiful details, and plenty of personality.

There was something especially refreshing about their approach to the morning. Rather than spending those hours apart, they shared the excitement of getting ready for their wedding day side by side.
The Nickel provided an incredible setting for their portraits, from the richly colored interiors to the beautiful balcony overlooking Charleston. We took advantage of the hotel’s unique spaces to create a collection of images that felt both intimate and fashion-inspired.

Mallory’s bridal style was a standout. Her textured floral gown, flowing veil, and soft blonde waves brought an effortless sophistication to every frame. Paired with Joe’s white tuxedo jacket and classic black bow tie, the two looked incredible together.
As a professional dancer, Mallory has such a natural understanding of movement, and that translated beautifully into her photographs. Every turn, every movement of her dress, and every moment between the two felt incredibly fluid. It gave us the opportunity to create portraits with a beautiful balance of editorial style and genuine emotion.

Following their portraits at The Nickel, we made our way to Cannon Green, one of Charleston’s distinctive wedding venues.
With its open-air courtyard, lush greenery, and towering palm trees, Cannon Green offered a beautiful backdrop for their ceremony.
Surrounded by their closest family and friends, Mallory and Joe exchanged vows in a setting that felt intimate, relaxed, and romantic. The natural greenery, neutral florals, and understated design complemented the venue without taking away from the moment.
Their celebration was a reminder that an intimate wedding doesn’t have to feel small. The entire afternoon was filled with personality, meaningful moments, and the kind of energy that comes from having your favorite people together in one place.

If there was one thing we knew heading into Mallory and Joe’s wedding, it was that the celebration would be fun.
From the beginning, there was an infectious energy surrounding these two. Between the music, the dancing, and the celebration with their guests, the evening was every bit as memorable as the ceremony.
And with Mallory being a professional dancer, it was only fitting that the dance floor became one of the highlights of the night.
As the celebration continued, Mallory changed into a sparkling mini dress, bringing an entirely new look and energy to the evening.

The night ended with one of our favorite moments of their wedding: a bubble-filled exit surrounded by their guests. With bubbles floating through the air and the two of them smiling from ear to ear, it was a playful, unforgettable ending to an incredible celebration.

Some weddings feel a little more personal, and Mallory and Joe’s Charleston celebration was certainly one of them. Our history with these two goes back well before their wedding day.
