Amidst the charming streets of Columbus, Caroline and TJ embarked on a romantic journey captured in their engagement shoot. Against the backdrop of the city’s iconic landmarks, their love blossomed, creating moments that would be cherished for a lifetime.
The road they have travelled down was long – having met one another on the sixth grade school bus. Yet, in the midst of the distracting window views, ‘forever and always’ had not been solidified in either of their vocabulary quite yet, taking any sort of romance or love at first sight off the table. Surely a school bus wasn’t the place one would meet the person they wanted to spend the rest of their life with. But for Caroline and TJ, it was. They just didn’t know it yet.
“He’s been my best friend for a long time, so I just knew I wanted him around forever.”
The weather during their engagement shoot was unfaithful–but not enough to take away the joy they had for one another. The wind and the rain prevailed, but the location held its significance.
“We got engaged in Columbus, so the experience was incredible and so fun.”
From their first date at COSI and revisiting the same spot five years later, TJ got down on one knee along the Scioto River at sunset with no one around but the two of them to take in the surreal moment.
When bearing the rocks of their relationship, Caroline confidently states it’s all verbal between the two of them. “Communication is key–we can overcome anything as a team.”
“The thing I look forward to the most on my wedding day is marrying my best friend and seeing all of our family and friends together.”
No matter which communication method you choose, the goal is to keep your crew feeling included, informed, and excited to support you. A little intentionality goes a long way—keep it simple, keep it clear, and don’t be afraid to have some fun with it. With the right rhythm and tools, your wedding party will be your biggest supporters (and best hype team) all the way through “I do.”
Weddings are about more than just beautiful details and unforgettable moments—they’re about connection. As much as couples look forward to celebrating with their loved ones, it’s the energy between guests that often makes the day feel truly alive. From the way you design your seating chart to the kind of entertainment and guest experiences you offer, thoughtful planning can create the perfect environment for meaningful conversation to unfold naturally. Whether it’s laughter shared over cocktails or heartfelt words exchanged between old friends, the right touches can turn a celebration into a lasting memory.
At the heart of every great wedding is the feeling that guests weren’t just attending—they were part of something special. When couples infuse their day with intention, personality, and little sparks of interaction, it sets the stage for stories, laughter, and genuine connection. Whether it’s a creative guestbook, a signature cocktail, or a surprise dance moment that brings everyone together, those small choices invite your guests to do more than celebrate—they invite them to engage. And that’s where the magic happens.
When it comes to planning your wedding day, one of the most overlooked—but incredibly impactful—parts of the process is building a thoughtful, personalized timeline. While some couples fear that having a structured schedule will make the day feel rigid or overly orchestrated, the truth is just the opposite. A well-crafted timeline is what actually gives you the freedom to be fully present. It keeps things flowing smoothly, helps prevent stress, and creates space for those spontaneous, joy-filled moments you’ll remember forever. Whether you’re working with a planner or relying on your photographer and venue team, your timeline is the key to a day that feels intentional, relaxed, and entirely you.
Haley and Griffin’s wedding day was the perfect blend of sweetness, energy, and effortless connection. From getting ready at the timeless Lytle Park Hotel to rooftop portraits that felt straight out of a movie, their love took center stage in every moment. The indoor ceremony at Drees Pavilion was full of emotion, followed by candid skyline portraits and a reception that radiated pure joy. Every detail felt personal, every glance between them genuine—and their day was a true reflection of what it looks like to be fully present in love.
Anna and Jeremy’s wedding was the perfect mix of elegance and fun. From Anna’s classic details with subtle pops of color to their traditional Catholic ceremony at St. Xavier Church, their day was filled with timeless beauty. But it was their playful personalities that truly shone through, especially with Anna’s fun white sunglasses! The reception at Lytle Park Hotel was a lively celebration, and we wrapped up the night with stunning evening photos on the balcony, capturing the magic of their unforgettable day.
