Soft Moments, Lasting Presence — Derrica & Molly’s Wedding Day

Derrica and Molly’s wedding day felt grounded in all the right ways. From the very start, there was a sense of ease and connection that carried through every part of the day. It wasn’t about overcomplicating anything, it was about being present, being together, and letting each moment unfold exactly as it was meant to.

They chose to get ready separately, giving themselves the chance to experience that first moment together in a more meaningful way. Each bride got ready with her people, sharing laughs, quiet moments, and all the little in-between memories that make a wedding morning what it is.

“Just Us, For a Minute”

Instead of jumping straight into the first look, Derrica and Molly slowed things down. Standing back to back, they exchanged vow books without seeing one another, letting their words come first.

There was something grounding about it. No distractions, no audience, just the two of them, present in what they had written for each other.

When they finally turned around, the emotion was immediate. It wasn’t performative or overdone, it was real, steady, and completely genuine.

they stepped into the Knowledge Bar at Hotel Covington North and grabbed a drink together. It felt like a pause in the day, a moment to just be side by side before everything picked up again.

They leaned into it naturally, talking, laughing, and settling into the feeling of finally being together. It was simple, but it was one of those moments that stays with you.

Rejoining their bridal party brought a shift in energy, light, fun, and full of personality. The group moved with ease, laughter carrying through each moment.

Afterward, we spent time with Derrica and Molly for more portraits, just the two of them. Out in the streets and in front of Hotel Covington, the focus stayed on their connection, letting each moment unfold naturally while still feeling elevated and beautiful.

Their ceremony was intimate in the truest sense, surrounded by the people who matter most. Every glance, every quiet reaction, every word spoken held weight.

There was no need for anything extra. The moment spoke for itself.

It was honest, emotional, and centered entirely on their connection.

An Evening to Remember

The reception at The Madison Event Center brought a new kind of energy, one that carried the emotion of the day into celebration.

Grand entrances set the tone, followed by heartfelt toasts that balanced humor and meaning with ease. As the night unfolded, the dance floor filled quickly and stayed that way.

There was a natural momentum to the evening, cake cutting, music, movement, and a shared sense that this was something worth fully leaning into.
